So….I’ve decided to participate in The Advent Challenge 2014, organized by Faye Brown of Faye Brown Designs. I wasn’t sure if I could keep up with it, but I decided to try. And it turns out I’m having such a fun time creating these daily holiday illustrations!

First I’ll do a rough sketch of the layout. Then I’ll scan it into my computer and redraw it in Adobe Illustrator.

Every day has a different theme.

I’m trying to keep each piece fairly graphic and simple.

I’m also experimenting with lots of texture and layer masks.

Not sure which one is my fave so far!

I’ll be posting these every 4 or 5 days, 25 in total! Hope I can keep up!
