New collection! I’ve been really busy 😉
This one is called “Cirque de Millefiori”. And yes, I’ve used three different languages in the title, but that’s how I roll.
I have always, always loved millefiori! The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words “mille” (thousand) and “fiori” (flowers). It is a glasswork technique which produces distinctive decorative patterns on glassware.
More recently, the millefiori technique has been applied to polymer clays and other materials. Because polymer clay is quite pliable and does not need to be heated and reheated to fuse it, it is a much easier medium in which to produce millefiori patterns than glass.
I used to make these polymer clay canes years ago, but they are really hard on the hands! Drawing is much easier.
I’ll probably add some simple patterns to this to round it out. I think this group is really fun and youthful!
Different colorways of the main pattern.
Hope that you like this group. I LOVE making the mock-ups! So much fun seeing my work on products!
