About a month ago I posted that I was licensing my fabric designs to a fabulous new company called Modern Yardage. I wanted to update you on my progress on my first collection…
I am currently finalizing the colors, and hopefully this week I’ll get everything approved and will have my “Cirque de Millefiori” fabric collection on their site very soon. CAN NOT WAIT!! This is like a dream come true for me, I’ve only been designing patterns for a year, and I am so very grateful with my progress so far and the reaction to my work. I am humbled.
First of all, Modern Yardage’s fabric quality is so…well…I want to use the word “yummy”. Very sturdy, yet soft. My colors look brilliant on the samples I’ve received so far. The fabric is super white, so the colors digitally print out very true. YAY!! I did 10 colorways for this collection. I know, nuts, right? The neato thing about working with Modern Yardage is each design will be available in 3 different sizes. Yep! So you can use it for quilting, crafting, home decor, sewing clothes, you name it!
I guess that I need to buy an iron, hehe!
Please check back tomorrow for a little glimpse at my next collection, “Folky-Dokey”. This one is based on the Polish paper cutting art, wycinanki, a folk art from Eastern Europe. I’m kind of fascinated with it! I am half Polish and half Czech, so I love researching my roots.
