Hey there! It’s Monday, and it’s time for my weekly post called “My Visual Nirvana”. I am doing a weekly blogpost showing some of my own photographs that inspire me, spark my creativity, and simply ignite that happy spot in my brain. This week? SUCCULENTS. My new obsession!
I recently moved, and my new location has the most gorgeous western/northern exposure. So…of course I ran out and bought more plants to grow in that fabulous sunny location! I’ve always had a “thing” for succulents. Not sure if it’s their symmetry, or squishy leaves, or unique colors, or what? Here are some pictures that I’ve taken of succulents…All of these were taken at Blithewold Gardens in Bristol, Rhode Island. I absolutely love the way these photographed! Almost ethereal. They were in a greenhouse, so the lighting was diffused but bright. I’m going to re-pot the new succulents I bought, right now they’re in crummy plastic pots and looked icky in the photos that I took.
All but one of these photos were taken using my iPhone camera using “Hipstamatic” app. I still can’t get over how much detail is captured….
